On December 15, 2023, the Chief Technical Expert from the Guangdong Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing visited MOJE to provide a progress report on the reliability analysis and testing of MOJE’s high-precision placement machines. Building on the critical findings regarding reliability, they engaged in in-depth discussions on the next steps for analysis, testing, and optimization of the placement machines.

The analysis of the experimental data on the placement machine’s no-load, loaded quasi-static, structural, and dynamic performance showed that MOJE’s placement machines have excellent static stiffness and stable dynamic motion characteristics. Further optimization is planned, and the optimized motion speed, acceleration, geometric accuracy, and positioning accuracy will continue to be analyzed, tested, and improved.

MOJE places a high priority on the reliability and stability of its placement machines and fully acknowledges and appreciates the performance testing and reliability analysis conducted by the Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing. The company has set the next reliability goals, aiming to achieve new heights in the reliability of domestically produced placement machines, ensuring that Chinese-made placement machines are competitive globally.

The advanced packaging market in mainland China is becoming a major focus for enhancing the capabilities of the industrial chain, and with the growing demand from emerging markets, there is a significant gap in domestically produced packaging equipment. In the placement machine market, the development of high-speed, high-precision, high-efficiency, and highly stable placement machines has become a major challenge for the localization of packaging equipment.

Since its establishment, MOJE has consistently adhered to independent innovation, mastering core technologies in high-speed, high-precision, and high-efficiency placement machines. To make the equipment not only easy to use but also durable, and to truly rival foreign brands, MOJE has collaborated with the Guangdong Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing since 2022 to jointly establish the country’s first “Joint Technology Innovation Center for Precision Electronic Surface Mounting Equipment.” Both parties have closely cooperated, sending key personnel to participate in the center’s construction and operation, mastering the current state of SMT placement machine technology research and development trends at home and abroad. The collaboration focuses on the reliability and stability of domestic SMT placement equipment, with deep integration in areas such as equipment reliability, stability, talent, technology, and industry collaboration, achieving a close combination of production, education, and research.

This technical collaboration involves in-depth integration in areas such as SMT placement machine simulation analysis, reliability analysis and optimization, product performance enhancement, and product digitalization and informatization. Both parties are confident that through their joint efforts, the reliability and stability of the equipment will be resolved and continuously optimized. Domestic placement machines are expected to see a significant rise, benefiting numerous domestic electronic information manufacturing industries, reducing costs, improving efficiency, and helping China transition from a major electronic manufacturing country to a global electronic manufacturing powerhouse.
